WHAT IS RETAIL SECTOR
- Definition of retail: Retail is a process of sales goods and services. there we can buy goods and services in bulks quantities.
2.Types of retail sectors: There are two types of retail sectors.
- Organized sector : organized sector means specific brand name, specific location , and professionally manage, computerised bill with GST no.
Store Based: like Supermarket : those stores are selling daily uses product like aata, daal , chini ,milk, and groceries also.
Hypermarket : those stores are selling category products like Big bazar, , Pantaloons, Croma store, Shopper stop, Reliance stores.
Departmental Store: there is Mix-up of the Supermarket and Hypermarket like Bigbazar or FBB, reliance fresh or Reliance digital.
Franchised store : who those are taken brand or gooodwill name from the brand founders like dominos, KFC, Aggarwal Sweets, Bikaner ,Mithaas.
Non-Store based: like Online stores: there are sellling product or service through the source of internet like Amazon, Flipkart, policybazar, shopclues, shadi.com, OLX.
Door to Door selling: there we are selling product and services at the customer doors with products promotions like Amway, LIC Insurance.
Kiosk Machines: its a self service process like ATM, Passbook Printing machine AVM Automatic Vending Machines.
- Unorganized Sector: Unorganized sector means no specific brand name, no specific location , no professionally manage, no computerised bill with GST no.
- There are Two types of Unorganized Sector : :- Store Based :- Non Store Based Store Based : like Kiranawala : who those vendors are selling daily uses products but they don,t gave valid bill to the customers like general stores.
Tea Stalls : they have specific location but they don,t have valid billing of his services like chaiwala.
Vegetables Vendors : they also have specific point but they didn,t give valid bill of his products to the customers.
Non Store Based : like Road side vendors : they don,t have any specific point or they not be able to give valid billing of his customers also. like Sabziwala, chowminwala, phalwala.
Door to door selling : they are selling products at the customers doors but they don,t have vaild bill or product guarantee also. like pheriwala, sariwala,

5. Roles and responsibilities of RSA :
- Greet or Wish the customers.
- Understand the customer actual need.
- Explain the features or benefits of the product to the customers.
- Increase the total value of sales.
- Increase the total value of sales through the up-selling or cross-selling.
- Manage the inventories, stock, goods or cash.
- Suggest the complementary item to the customers
- Handling the customer complaints or queries.
- Take the feedback from the customers about the service.
